This year’s growers and varieties

Well…. just when I thought that we had finished signing up new members, 15 new members joined us on the March 2nd Seedy Saturday held at Evergreen Brick Works. A big thank you to the organizers for a spectacular event. It was so busy that I never even had the time to take a picture. I’ve just finished updating the membership list and seed varieties and I wanted to share some numbers with you:

We have 50 members, growing 108 varieties for 21 projects. It will be an awesome summer!

Take a look at the list of members. Several members have TBD next to their names and there are two reasons:

  1. They are already growing seeds they personally sourced so I’m waiting for an update
  2. They are leading projects where the varieties have not been determined. While it’s getting too late for winter-sowing, several schools will be growing seeds that have already been stratified.

Please take a moment to let me know if the information I have listed is correct.

And here are the varieties we are growing together. This is the first time I am trying some of the more tricky ones like Liverwort, Twinleaf, Dutchman’s breeches that have double-dormancy, so fingers crossed!
